Normand Lavallee

Normand Lavallee, FCPA, FCA, FCMA, C.Dir., has a strong commitment to health and safety with past work experience at NORCAT and having served as a director with the Public Service Health and Safety Association.
Currently, Normand is the Associate Vice-President, Financial Services, at Laurentian University. His work in for profit and not-for-profit organizations provided him the opportunity to understand various types of organizations and varied strategic partners, including government, major businesses, labour, and a variety of different stakeholders.
Norm served for three years on the National Board for Certified Management Accountants of Canada (CMA) and eight years on the Ontario Board of CMA which provided him with a level of understanding of the challenges faced by similar type of organizations. Normand brings financial, not-for-profit experience and leadership skills to his role as director with Workplace Safety North.

Marilyn Findlay

Marilyn Findlay, CRSP, is Health and Safety Manager at Domtar Pulp in Dryden. She has 30 years of experience in the pulp and paper industry with the past 14 years in health and safety. While overseeing the management of the pulp mill’s health and safety management system, Marilyn is also responsible for site security and emergency response.
Marilyn obtained her Canadian Registered Safety Professional designation in 2010 and completed her occupational health and safety education at Ryerson University. Marilyn is a member of the Workplace Safety North Advisory Committee and has held the position of Chair during her 10-year involvement.
