Leadership Essentials Lunch and Learn - information sheet

As part of the Workplace Safety North (WSN) Feed Your Brain Lunch and Learn Series, you're invited to attend an information session, "Choose your own adventure: Learning to lead through personal and team development," on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, in Sault Ste. Marie. 

In this session, you will learn about a new program called, ‘Leadership Essentials.’ The program goes beyond traditional one-time training to create long-term, sustainable improvements in organizational culture.

  • Interactive session and group will choose topics of most interest
  • Personal development topics: signature strengths, optimism and gratitude, situational awareness, resiliency, verbal communication and body language
  • Team development topics: goals, values and beliefs, engagement, support and feedback and trust
  • Gain a better understanding of how to improve workplace culture, health and safety, and how to create strength-based leadership practices

About WSN Feed Your Brain Lunch and Learn Series: The series focuses on trending topics in workplace health and safety, including: mental health and psychological health and safety, workplace policy regarding alcohol and drug use, and how to build a strong safety culture. Currently sessions are being held in North Bay, Sudbury, Timmins and Thunder Bay, with plans to expand the series across northern Ontario.
