Learn what to expect during provincial health and safety inspection blitz
You’re invited to attend a free one-hour webinar on Wednesday, December 16, from 10:00 to 11:00 am Eastern Time, co-hosted by Workplace Safety North (WSN) and the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development (MLTSD).
For the past 10 years, WSIB traumatic fatality statistics show that motor vehicle incidents cause more traumatic fatalities to workers each year than any other type of event. In 2018, contact with objects and equipment accounted for 25 percent of allowed lost time injuries. In addition, the use of battery electric equipment in mines has raised several safety concerns including fire.
Get an overview of the upcoming provincial workplace safety inspection blitz happening December 14, 2020, to March 31, 2021, regarding battery electric vehicles and mobile diesel equipment hazards.
