Bill 160, aimed at amending the Occupational Health and Safety Act, has received Royal Assent.

The amendments will allow implementation of many of the key recommendations of the Expert Advisory Panel on Occupational Health and Safety.

Putting in place many of the panel’s recommendations requires not only legislative changes but also the development of new regulations and operational policies and procedures. This future work will proceed in consultation with the Interim Prevention Council, prevention system partners and stakeholders.
