WSN regrets to inform its clients that a double fatality has occurred on one of Ontario’s logging roads.

On Wednesday, January 29th, two men died in an incident involving a logging truck and an excavator on Dunbar Road, a logging road off Highway 144.

Early reports from the Ontario Provincial Police suggest a logging tractor-trailer became stuck in a ditch. An excavator attempted to help remove the trailer. During the set-up process, the excavator slid down an incline and pinned the two workers located in front of the tractor-trailer.

The Ministry of Labour is currently investigating.
