President and CEO Paul Andre wishes you and yours a safe and happy holiday

Worker walking with two kids in the snow towards houseAs this unprecedented year draws to a close, it is important to take the time to express gratitude to all the people in our lives and reflect on what we are truly thankful for.

In that spirit, I want to thank Workplace Safety North staff, industry volunteers, and stakeholders – for your time, effort, and contributions to help make Ontario workplaces and your communities safer. Your dedication to getting every worker home safe and healthy at the end of each day has special meaning during the holiday season. Especially this holiday season.

The holidays are going to look a little different this year due to COVID-19. While public health measures to keep us safe may be different in communities across the north and across the province, no matter where you live, the safest way to spend the holidays this year is by only celebrating in-person with the people you live with and celebrating virtually with everyone else.

With the recent news about several vaccines, there’s light at the end of the tunnel, and we look forward to working with you in 2021.

Over the holidays, WSN offices will be closed from noon December 24 to January 3 so staff can spend quality time with loved ones. Offices re-open on Jan. 4, 2021.

From the WSN family to yours, best wishes for a happy, healthy, and safe holiday season!
