Industry meets to review health and safety issues and best practices in Ontario

Forestry, Paper, Printing, and Converting Advisory Committee tours Jones Packaging

On May 12, members of the Workplace Safety North (WSN) Advisory Committee for forestry, paper, printing and converting sectors, met at Jones Packaging in London, Ontario.

Each quarter, representatives from industry meet with the provincial health and safety association, WSN, to review sector health and safety trends, and provide sector-specific advice regarding WSN health and safety programs and initiatives.

A 2016 environmental scan for the industry was discussed, including: economic, social and demographic, legal, technology, health and safety issues. The group also shared best practices and attended a tour of the Jones Packaging facility.
