Two engineers learn about mine rescue in Sudbury
WSN has two new faces this summer at the Sudbury Mine Rescue Station. Both from Brazil, Jardel Norbrega dos Santos and Gustavo Souza will be with WSN as interns/co-operative placements until the end of August.
They will help the mine rescue program by updating WSN provincial and district mine plans, and translating the mine rescue handbook from English to Portuguese.
Jardel has already had the opportunity to assist WSN with the recent provincial mine rescue competition in Windsor. He is an active firefighter in his home country and is passionate learning about Ontario Mine Rescue. He looks forward to sharing his newfound knowledge upon return to his home country later this summer. Jardel is married with two children, and his family has travelled with him to Sudbury. Gustavo has just recently joined WSN and Jardel will help bring him up to speed.
Please join us in making Jardel and Gustavo feel welcome!
