Mining Health and Safety Conference
You're invited to attend the 21st annual conference April 9-11, 2019 in Sudbury
The annual Mining Health and Safety Conference hosted by Workplace Safety North will be held April 9 to 11, 2019 in Sudbury.
Themed 'Preparing for high-risk emergencies in mines,' this year's conference celebrates the 90 year anniversary of Ontario Mine Rescue.
Each year, about 300 attendees gather to learn and share their knowledge about mining health and safety, and network with industry professionals.
Key areas of focus for presentations include:
- Emergency preparedness and mine rescue
- Research and innovation
- Safety culture and management systems
- Workplace well-being and mental health
- Hazards specific to underground work
