Katie Wagar is a second-year master’s student at the Human and Environmental Physiology Research Unit at the University of Ottawa. She graduated from Memorial University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Human Kinetics and Recreation (Co-op) degree. During her master's, she has been involved with clinical trials investigating physiological responses to heat exposure. She has assisted with qualitative content analysis of heat-related guidance related to occupational heat stress and public health. Katie’s master’s thesis investigates safe work times for young and older women working in the heat.
