Working in Confined Spaces

This two-day training program provides participants with what they need to know to enter and work safely in confined spaces.The first day of this course is delivered in the classroom through lecture, discussion, case study exercises, videos, and other interactive activities to ensure key concepts related to confined space work are addressed. In the second day of this course, participants apply classroom content to work through performance-based training.

By the end of this course, participants will know:

  • Critical information related to confined spaces
  • Legislation regarding confined space work
  • Best practices for working safely in confined spaces
  • A four-step principle used to recognize hazards, assess their risk, and to control their hazards
  • The importance of following-up on hazard controls to maintain worker safety
  • Rescue protocols for confined spaces

The WSN Working in Confined Spaces(OWWCO #14775) course is Director Approved by OWWCO and 1.4 CEUs are awarded to participants that complete the course.
