Lydia N. Renton, B.Sc., CIH, ROH, FAIHA is the EVP, Occupational Hygiene, Safety & Security with BluMetric Environmental Inc, an engineering and OHS consulting firm. Initial work was for the Canadian federal government departments of Labour Canada and Health Canada. Several years were spent consulting and performing evaluations of workplaces for the Ontario Ministry of Labour. She joined Bell-Northern Research in 1989 as corporate hygienist and had several roles, including manager of EHS, Nortel Semiconductors. By actively developing, delivering and participating in loss control, health, safety and environment programs, she has guided, advised, trained and consulted to Senior Management, Health and Safety Committees and employees in Canada and globally. 

She was honored by the Occupational Hygiene Association of Ontario with the Hugh Nelson Award of Excellence in 2008, by the AIHA as a Fellow in 2014, by the AIHA with the Alice Hamilton Award (2021), and by the AIHA International Affairs Committe with the named AIHA IAC "Lydia Renton Outstanding IAC Award" in 2023. She was the President and on the Board of the CRBOH (Canadian Registration Board of Occupational Hygienists) (2000-2004) and was Chair and Past Chair of the ABIH Board of Directors (2009 -2014), and Chair of the AIHA FellowsSIG. She is currently past Chair of WSN, having been on Board of Directors since 2017.
