This workshop is intended for participants involved in the Occupational Illness and Disease Prevention Research Project. In taking this workshop, you will receive hands-on training on the use, calibration, and other practices related to equipment used to collect industrial hygiene samples of various airborne and physical hazards. Building on what you learn in Workplace Safety North e-learning courses on industrial hygiene hazards, through participating in this workshop, you’ll gain more insight into exposure scenarios, calculations, specific hazards, reporting practices, and effective steps toward the implementation of hazard controls.
In addition to completing the Institute for Work and Health survey upon registration, participants will be required to complete the Industrial Hygiene Fundamentals e-Learning courses, as well as other applicable industry-specific hazard e-Learning courses such as noise or diesel particulate matter for successful registration into this workshop.
