Call for Papers: Submissions open until Wednesday, January 28
Workplace Safety North invites proposals for its technical sessions held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, in Sudbury, Ontario. Presentations will be a maximum of 30 minutes, including time for audience questions.
Themed ‘Shaping Safety in the Critical Minerals Era,’ the 28th annual Mining Health and Safety Conference expects to welcome more than 200 in-person attendees from the global mining industry to share knowledge of sector-specific hazards, explore programs and innovations, and network with industry professionals.
Key areas of focus for presentations:
- High-risk hazard identification, management, and prevention
- Emergency preparedness and response
- Safety culture, leadership, and workforce readiness
- Workplace well-being, mental health and psychosocial safety
- Research, technology, and digital innovation in mine safety
- Industry case studies and lessons learned
- Safety systems, governance, and regulations
- Sustainability, environmental responsibility, and community partnerships
Please note: Priority will be given to submissions that address the health and safety themes outlined above, particularly those featuring Canadian-based research and operations. Sales-oriented or promotional content will not be considered.
